While President Donald Trump is on trial in New York, the judge’s wife has been busy making aggressively anti-Trump posts on X. I’ve discovered X user @dm_sminxs is Dawn Engoron, the wife of Judge Arthur Engoron. The account is now locked, but we can still see that her bio is “#BlueForSoManyReasons.”
Before her account was locked, Dawn Engoron’s posts included an image of Trump as an inmate in an orange jumpsuit with his head shaved, an image of an old woman spray paying “FUCK TRUMP” on a wall, and a post replying to Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene mocking Trump’s lawyer Alina Habba for doing her job. I’ve also caught her reposting a reply to myself and Representative George Santos saying “When George Santos is your source, you’re desperate.” It's good to see Mrs. Engoron is a fan of Loomer Unleashed!
Trump’s trial in New York is a civil fraud case, but New York Attorney General Letitia James promised on the campaign trail to prosecute Donald Trump. The show trial happening now is the culmination of that promise with Judge Engoron at the helm. Engoron, who has called himself a “free-speech absolutist,” issued a gag order on Trump banning him and his lawyers from mentioning the extreme political bias of the New York court where he’s being prosecuted. He’s been hit with multiple fines for exercising his free speech and supposedly violating the gag order.
Judge Engoron’s actions as the judge of the New York trial and his wife’s activity on social media prove that it isn’t a serious trial. It’s a blatant attempt at political persecution against a former President of the United States. This case isn’t about justice, it’s about getting revenge on Trump for winning in 2016 and trying to prevent it from happening again. It’s an attempt to make Trump broke by toppling his New York real estate empire so he can’t afford to fund his 2024 campaign.
This is part of a broader effort to disqualify him from the election. I’ve reported extensively on the ongoing litigation in Colorado in a lawsuit filed against Trump by CREW which threatens to have Trump’s name removed from the ballot in 2024.
This won’t be the last we’ve seen of Trump’s political persecution, but resilience in the face of his enemies is one of his greatest strengths.
